Crow Ecology is an East Yorkshire based ecological consultancy company that has been involved in conservation since 2006. We offer custom-made services to a multitude of clients whose aim is to gain a successful planning application for their projects.
Crow Ecology has over 10 years of experience working as an Ecological Consultant and a free-lance surveyor. We have extensive experience of surveying for Great Crested Newts (GCN) and Bats. We also have experience of carrying out: Preliminary Ecological Appraisals, Biodiversity management plans, Barn Owl, Badger, Reptile and Water Vole surveys. I hold licenses for GCN, Bats and Barn Owl.

Ecological Survey Calendar
These calendars are designed to help with the planning of your project and if protected species are discovered, what are the best times to mitigate for the species in question.
The Survey calendar illustrates when each protected species can be surveyed. These are guidelines only as we all know seasons can vary slightly year to year. This can have a knock on effect by changing the times that animals breed and hibernate.
Mitigation Calendar
The Mitigation Calendar highlights when mitigation work can take place if you discover protected species on your site. Again, the same conditions apply to these works as it does the survey work. Most mitigation work for protected species requires a license from Natural England (NE) to commence work. Make sure you check the legal stipulations before you start any mitigation work.
